The CQ DX Marathon!
T94GB
2006 DX MARATHON FORMULA CLASS WINNER

I am 59 years old, professor of pedagogy and psychology and I am employed in Primary school as a pedagogue. My QTH is in the town of Jajce (JN84pi) in the central part of Bosnia and Herzegovina, about 120 km west from Sarajevo. In 1963 as a primary school pupil, I started to practice ham radio. I passed the examination for ham radio operator “C” class on 27th June 1965, and from that time I actively started working in the local radio club YU4EDV. In 1968 I passed the examination for “B” class operator and received the call sign YU4VGD.
My full engagement starts from 1994 when I got the license T94GB. I usually work on HF bands, mostly CW, with some SSB operations. I presently have confirmed 301 DXCC CW and 178 DXCC SSB (303 MIXED). I am the holder of more than 100 awards (WAC, WAZ, 6BWAZ, WPX etc.) and I am also a member of some CW associations - HSC, HCC, UFT, 9ACWG, MCWG, RTC, AGCW and GACW.
For the last 10 years I am using a FT757 transceiver with the FP-757HD power supply and FC-757AT antenna tuner. I operate with only wire dipole antennas.
In the 2006 CQ DX Marathon I operated with the above mentioned equipment and a G5RV antenna.
For 2007 I have purchased a new Icom IC-706MKIIG and with the G5RV antenna my 2007 Marathon score at the end of March is 162.
I believe that the CQ DX Marathon is an excellent idea and it offers an opportunity to all real DXers to prove themselves.
Best greetings from Bosnia and Herzegovina.
